Things are going wonderful with our family. Kinsey is just growing and growing and learning more everyday. She absolutely *loves* to read and look at books. She loves animals - it doesn't matter what animal it is :-) She also love to laugh, her laugh is contagious :-)
Kyle is staying busy with work and being a wonderful dad! He is looking forward to the tractor pulls this summer and our trip to Oklahoma. He made the comment last night "I love being a dad" - and it shows. Kinsey is his princess - 100% a daddy's girl. They have a special bond and its really a joy to watch :-)
I am staying busy finishing up my last summer glass at Grace, which means that this fall I have my FINAL CLASS (Addictions Counseling) before I graduate! Baby is due at the end of October which means I will have 6 weeks left of class after baby arrives. Thankfully, my class is one night a week so Kyle will have his special time with his two girls :-)I haven't been sick in three weeks which I am VERY excited about :-) I am 23 weeks along :-) Its nice to finally feel like I have some energy :-) Baby has been kicking like crazy - so thats really neat. It is really special for Kyle to be able to feel (and even sometimes see) the baby kick. Everything is going really well and we are hoping for a healthy baby :-)
For those of you that don't know - they think our baby number two is a little girl! They said they can't be completely sure, but thats what it looks like! We are so excited!! We will have our two little princesses :-) We have all our baby girl stuff from Kinsey which makes it nice :-) The only bad thing is our lack of names!! We have her middle name but no first name.... it may come down to a decision at the hospital like we did for Kinsey :-)

Our Update on David
Many of our friends and family have asked about David, the young boy were were selected to adopt around this time last year. We were selected to adopt him in May 2007. Its been an interesting year to say the least... poor guy has been thru SOOO much. To make a long story short (I'm sure I'll give ya the long version too lol).... In November 2007 (after 7 months of paperwork) they told us that he came back into contact with his siblings and wanted to keep him in Texas. This was fine by us because we were just happy that he was finally having some family in his life. Turns out when they decided to keep him in Texas, another family found out he was no longer going to be adopted by us, and they pushed for him to be placed in their home to be adopted by them (this is typically a good thing). They kept him for 5 months (November to March 08) telling him that they were going to be adopting him and that he would finally have a family ....and then had a baby placed with them thru foster care. When they had the baby placed them they decided that they wanted David to be removed from their home so they could adopt the baby instead. They said one reason they changed their mind about adopting him (other than wanting the baby) is because he was "immature"... um, sorry but what 12 year old boy isn't immature? Anyway, the adopting parents said they would talk to him about what was going on to make it easier on him... but then they didn't, so when the social worker showed up to take him from the home he had no idea! He started crying and begging them to let him stay (how heartbreaking). The social worker told me since this most recent disappointment he has continued to cause problems at therapy, has been completely against adoption and has threatened to run away. The social worker called last month with all this info about his failed adoption to keep us updated on him. She was his new social worker when all this happened and seemed liked she really cared about him .... she expressed her frustration at that whole situation. She said he is very intelligent and that he is very aware of everything going on. She kept saying she didn't know why he just wasn't placed with us in November since his contact with his siblings have remained phone contact only. She kept saying how perfect our family was for him and how much David looked like my husband Kyle and how he looked like part of our family :-) Right now they are putting his adoption status on hold, and he may never come back to a good place after this most recent incident. It breaks my heart because he has experienced this rejection and foster parents changing their minds for 8 years! How much is one boy expected to take??? Its as if these adopting parents didn't even care about what it would do to him :( And how in the world do you have a boy live in your home, calling him your son for 5 months and then trade him in for a "younger model". Its just heartbreaking :(
We hope and pray that someday his heart is healed from this rejection and pain. Even if he never joins our family, we hope that someday he has a mom and dad who love him unconditionally.
So if you could bring him before Jesus, that would mean the world.... its really all any of us can do.
